Important Information Regarding Illinois Policies - June 2008

Due to the flooding disaster that has taken place in the state of Illinois, Zenith policyholders may experience disruption of mail delivery and displacement from their business.  If your business was affected by the flooding disaster or located in a designated area, please contact your local Zenith office immediately.

As of June 10, 2008, any cancellation or nonrenewal notice issued by Zenith to an affected Illinois policyholder will be withdrawn and the policy will be reinstated with no lapse in coverage. If you received a cancellation or nonrenewal notice, please contact your local Zenith office immediately. Zenith will not issue any additional cancellation or nonrenewal notices to affected policyholders until August 18, 2008 or later, if an individual policyholder's circumstance so requires.

Zenith will consider extending any and all policy provisions or other requirements that require a time limit for a policyholder to perform any act, including the submission and reporting of a claim, submission of bills, or payments of funds. If granted an extension, the policyholder will be given a minimum of 60 days from the last date allowed or required under the terms of the policy. In addition, Zenith will consider exceptions to a policy, or to other rating or underwriting rules, if such policy or rating or underwriting rules are not met as a result of the flooding.

If you have a flooding-related dispute or issue, you may contact you local Zenith office and/or file a complaint with the Illinois Division of Insurance. You may also call the Division's toll-free complaint hotline at 1-866-445-5364 or file your complaint online at http://www.idfpr.com/doi/Complaints/Complaints.asp.
